werd op 4 november 1986 geboren en is een Canadese zangeres, songwriter en actrice. Ze is vooral bekend als actrice. Zo speelt ze de hoofdrol in de tienermuziekserie Instant Star als Jude Harrison en heeft ze ook de hoofdrol gespeeld in de Disneyserie So Weird als Annie Thelan. Ook speelde ze in de films Final Destination 3, Devil's Diary en nog veel meer andere films.
Toch ligt Alexz' passie in de muziek: al sinds haar elfde is ze bezig in de muziekwereld en ze heeft jarenlang zangles gehad, waaronder opera. Na een paar verbroken platencontracten (o.a. bij Epic Records) en een heel afgemaakt album die daardoor niet is uitgekomen, is Alexz enthousiaster dan ooit tevoren. Samen met haar broer heeft ze zelf een plaat geproduceerd, “Voodoo”. Met haar fans communiceert ze nu vrij direct via haar website, Alexzjohnson.com.

Alexz plaatste vandaag een kort filmpje op Facebook waarin ze vraagt fans geld over te maken naar de Canadese Alzheimer organisatie. Waarschijnlijk heeft een familielid dit op het moment, aangezien ze er niet zo blij bij kijkt… Het filmpje is hier te zien.
Daarnaast ook een nieuw berichtje op Alexz’ site! Ze vertelt dat ze 13 december de video op zal nemen voor haar nieuwe single, die 11 januari uitkomt. Uiteraard vindt ze dat enorm spannend en kan ze niet wachten de nieuwe muziek aan ons te laten horen. Nou, wij kunnen ook nauwelijks wachten!
I wanted to wish you a wonderful holiday season! The more seasons I’m lucky enough to experience, the more I realize how special they are. They magnify and remind us of how many awesome people we have in our lives. I love this time.
It’s going to be a busy time in pre-production for the video shoot happening December 13th and the single release on January 11th! I’m so excited, and especially excited to get the music out to you. I can’t say what the single is quite yet, that’s gonna be a surprise. Can tell you however, that I’m thrilled with the newly mastered album and very proud of it. Who knows how far it’ll reach, but however many ears it reaches, I believe in it and that’s all that really matters.
